Tatang Elmy Wibowo

Tatang Elmy Wibowo, a batik artist from Indonesia, says that beauty lies in the little things. “The batik technique is a slow, calm process that allows you to notice and convey the most subtle expressions of natural beauty, open your imagination, and express ideas that you care about. I seek to talk to people through batik,” Tatang says.

According to Tatang, batik patterns and the harmony of colors can make the simplest fabric amazing. An individually selected batik style and a garment sewn from it reveal an individual's personality. "You should trust your individuality, even when your style is very different from others," he says.
