Plant Portraits 2020

September 2020

The traditional Plant Portraits art photography competition, which encourages the discovery of plants as a source of inspiration, invited contestants this time to think about the joy of giving. Photographs were selected for the competition in which the captured images of plants or natural landscapes were appropriate for postcards and thus were able to spread joy on a broad basis. The participants of the competition – professional and amateur photographers alike – sent almost 1,000 portraits of plants to the organizers, from which the commission (including well-known Lithuanian photographer Monika Požerskytė and graphic artist Neringa Žukauskaitė) selected the 20 most impressive works. The winner of the competition was Ramunė Palekaitė, a photographer from Tauragė, who captured a poppy flower after the rain.
