Photographer Saulius Zaura likes to look at people, environments, and life phenomena from different angles, and the camera, he says, seems to offer this opportunity by revealing many unexpected discoveries.
Saulius was overwhelmed by his experience with artistic photography, which revealed beauty from the perspective of a bird’s flight. “The drones give the camera wings! And that means unique opportunities to convey an unseen perspective, compositions, and scale. In that perspective, I am looking for abstract accents that are more like paintings than photographs,” says Saulius. He indicates that such creative technique is extremely complex: when taken to the air, the action takes place very quickly, and the photographer becomes a pilot.
Saulius Zaura (Lithuania) is an enthusiast of artistic photography, aerial photography, and cinema. He is the winner of the 2020 photography competition "Reflections: Personality, Nature, Batik." He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business administration from KTU and a master's degree in management from ISM. He is currently developing the project dronepartner.lt (3D digitization and virtual environment creation solutions). Previously, he ran one of the country’s science and technology parks for nearly a decade.
